Isah Suliyat stayed home till she was 6 before her parents enrolled her. Her parents had come to Nigeria from Cameroon for greener pastures. Suliyat enjoys coming to the learning space everyday and will love to keep her quality education.

Fasakin Faridat’s parents were divorced and was transferred to start living with her grandmother in a village where she became a learner at Bramble. Faridat’s attitude was where we started learning the five magic words from. She has learnt and she is becoming better.

Daniel Mary is a southpaw. Her parents had relocated from the city to the village due to financial difficulties. Mary loves to sing and assist the younger learners at the learning center. Mary getting sponsorship for her education will make her discover her purpose in life.

DAVID AMOS, Age 12
David Amos was injured on his left eye at the age of six. He stopped attending school ever since because he needed to take care of his eyes. After the eye got better, he was enrolled in a school and they made mockery of him because of the condition of his eye. Amos battled with self esteem but now, he no longer sees his deficiencies and has enjoyed unconditional love both from his friends and catalyst. Olalekan Yusuf lost his mother at age six and was transferred to start living with his grandmother in a rural community. He stopped attending school for a whole year until he came to the village where he was enrolled at Bramble. Yusuf recently won a Book competition. He loves reading and telling stories. ABUBAKAR MARY, Age 11
Abubakar Mary is a very intelligent girl. She loves learning and lives with her parents who struggle to provide daily meals for her. Mary has participated in a lot of reading competitions and debate competitions. She wants to become a Nurse so that she can assist children in rural communities because she has witnessed her younger brother lack quality healthcare. Mary comes to the learning space without food yet she loves learning. Beyond this, she needs the scholarship to achieve her dreams.

SHENINI BLESSING, Age 6
Sheneni Blessing lost her mother and had to start living with her grandmother in Kogi State. Her Uncle saw her playing around with no hope for education and transferred her to live with her Aunt in Fagbenro Community where she is now being enrolled in Bramble. Her Aunt adopted her and now Blessing has the hope for the future through Education.

YISSA MUSTAPHA, Age 7
Yissa Mustapha was enrolled by his mother who loves Education and wants the best for his son regardless of the community where Education is regarded as Luxury. Mustapha learnt Money Basic during one of our family meeting sessions and since then has been practicing saving. He was able to buy himself a new school bag after two quarters of saving. Olalekan Azeez lost his mother at age four and was transferred to start living with his grandmother in a rural community. He stopped attending school for a whole year until he came to the village where he was enrolled at Bramble. Azeez loves being called ‘Alani’. He is very funny and loves teaching others. Michael Moses was a perpetual absentee. He was once enrolled in a local primary school some miles away from his community. He seems very uninterested in Education. He would cry that he is not going so his parents left him alone. Last year when he was enrolled. There has been a report of Moses loving learning and pushing himself to attend the learning center. Ademola Tijani was once called a fighter. He used to move around with the bad gangs in his community. Asunmo Muniyat is from a Polygamous of nine children. At seven, Muniyat was not enrolled in school due to distance and also non challant attitude towards Education. Alade Antonia is a shy girl. Neglected by parents in Kwara state, she now lives with her father in Oretu village who is a farmer. She is currently being raised by a single father who is also trying to make ends meet through farming. Helping Antonia will enable her to concentrate on learning as sometimes she skips the learning space to assist her father on the farm especially when there is no food to eat.

ODE PAUL OLUWAFERANMI, Age 8
Ode Paul Oluwaferanmi is a smart boy. His parents mentioned that he is usually scared of people and we see this play out in the first three months of enrolment. Paul would literally cry about everything. He was scared to fail. Within a few months, we were able to examine and ask him questions. Alade David is a unique one. Raised by separated parents, he lived with his mother who is a trader and always traveling. David stopped attending the school he was enrolled in Kwara state when he realized that he was unable to read and write. He started joining some boys learning ‘Meco’ (a local mechanical workshop in Nigeria usually found in rural and marginalized communities). The father discovered this and took him to start staying with him so he could have access to proper education. It was on this note that David came and we realized he is a smart boy but lacks proper attention. David has learnt and has completed Basic reading and writing. Olayiwola Michael lived with his parents for more than six years in another community before he was enrolled in Bramble in 2022 and this was due to distance to the community where schools existed and the financial incapabilities to afford a transport system for them. Ode Pius is an intelligent young boy who, due to lack of access to schools in his community, was transferred from one community to another. He was living with a relative in a far away community from his parents because they wanted him to have Education but he was unable to concentrate properly on his studies due to lack of emotional support and friction from the host family. His parents withdrew him after knowing that Bramble is now in the community. It’s going to be of great help to assist his parents who depend solely on farm produce to survive.

Abubakar Isaac is a twin. He was involved in a minor accident and due to lack of quick intervention because of finance had issues with one of his legs. This situation kept him at home for several years and because the only available school is about 2 hours from their community. Bramble came and Isaac has been able to access Quality Education and a huge relief on the finances of his family. Isaac is talented and gifted in artistic skills such as weaving and drawing.
