Last week, Bramble Network commenced the third cohort of its School Leadership Program (SLP), continuing its commitment to developing effective school leaders. The SLP is a comprehensive training program designed to equip school leaders and aspiring school leaders with the knowledge and skills required to run a school effectively.
Last year, we held the first and second cohorts of the SLP, drawing participants and specialized facilitators to provide practical insights and training on effective school leadership and management.

For the third cohort, the SLP will explore various topics touching on leadership, financial management, brand management, the educational system and reforms, and child safety and safeguarding aspects of school management.

One of the core missions of the SLP is to ensure that participants, which may include school leaders (founders, lead administrators, and aspiring school leaders), are taught the skills and strategies that drive effective school management.
The program is also designed to ensure that participants can learn how to develop and implement education programs to meet the peculiar needs of their respective students and communities. The SLP raises a need for school leadership to review and reinvent their managerial policies to suit every aspect of a school’s operations.
Effective school leadership seeks the development of the various sectors of a school, including academics, administration, infrastructure, and student welfare, among others, not prioritizing or leaving one out over the other. In the third cohort of the SLP, participants will also learn how to brand and raise funds for the development of their institutions.
It is common for school leaders to focus only on the educational development of their schools while leaving the other aspects to chance. In some cases, simultaneously working on the development of all the factors involved can be quite difficult.

Bramble Network recognizes the importance of paying attention to the various variables involved in the running of a school, including academic, financial, administrative, and operational aspects, among others, and how each variable is very important in sustaining an effective school system.
That is why the SLP is designed to answer questions and help school leaders gain knowledge that can be used to navigate leadership. Our seasoned facilitators for the third cohort, including Odunayo Aliyu, E.D Bramble Network, Dr Helen Chatburn, Deputy Head of Schools, I.I.S, Ayomikun Titiloye FCA, Finance and Auditing Expert, among others, have been carefully drawn from different fields to contribute to a holistic leadership learning experience.
The third cohort will run twice weekly for 8 weeks, and a weekly assignment will contribute to 30% of participants’ progress in the program. Bramble encourages school leaders and aspiring school leaders to participate in programs that can equip them with skills for effective leadership. We also call for education stakeholders, school owners, and development partners to be a part of this program and contribute to effective school leadership
