BRAMBLE LAUNCH CAMPAIGN ON WORLD ENVIRONMENT DAY: 100,000 PLASTIC BOTTLES TO BUILD TWO LEARNING HALLS

Can bricks really be substituted with plastic bottles? Can plastic construction truly stand the test of time without collapsing? It may be difficult to consider plastic as a brick but a sand-filled bottle possesses the same strength as a brick and lots more advantages that make it stand out.

Plastics are recycled and used for different purposes and construction of houses is an innovative discovery that has projected the usefulness of plastics rather than the menace it causes in our water bodies.

Bramble is championing this nationwide campaign to build two learning halls for children at Arikanki village, Ibadan. We will be gathering 100,000 plastic bottles for this purpose.

The campaign which launches today, June 5-World Environment Day, will run for three months and end on August 19-World Humanitarian Day.

With the numerous advantages that come with construction with plastics such as cost-effectiveness, reusability, ability to absorb abrupt shock loads, Bramble’s innovative project will ride on collaborations with other organisations, businesses, and individuals.

This project is a holistic approach to solving one of the world’s biggest environmental challenge and providing one of the world’s greatest need; Quality Education!

As global citizens, everyone has the responsibility of helping and improving the planet and our overall state of living.
