Onsite Visit by Civil Society Association Coalition for Education for All

Onsite Visit by Civil Society Association Coalition for Education for All

It was a privilege hosting members of CIVIL SOCIETY ASSOCIATION COALITION FOR EDUCATION FOR ALL (CSACEFA) at our learning community. CSACEFA is a national coalition consisting over 600 network members across the 36 state in Nigeria, including the Federal Capital Territory.

The visit took place on Tuesday, 11th of November, 2020. We had the Oyo state coordinator, past coordinator and other executive members. They were welcomed by one of our catalyst and later ushered into the learning space to be introduced to other members of our learning community. The Director of Bramble, Odunayo Aliu was there to give a short talk on the mission and vision of the organization.

We took them around the learning space and had interaction with our learners and team members. They were quite fascinated by the model we run in Bramble learning space. Odunayo spent quality time explaining what alternative education means and how it works in comparison with mainstream education in Nigeria. They agreed that children will learn better in this kind of space. The state coordinator, Mr Bukky Cehuwe said ‘I have learnt a lot of new terms today such as alternative education, project based learning etc.’ He expressed his interest in this new model.

The former coordinator, Mr Moshood Folorunsho wanted to know about our method of assessments. They all agreed that what they have witnessed in Bramble is different, fun and effective. They were impressed with the activities going on in the learning community and promised to render support through referral, publicity and fundraising.
